Who we are

Lynqaro Business is an app for distributors, wholesalers, shops, sales reps, riders and farm-produce buyers in East Africa and the DR Congo. It is run by Lynqaro. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

Account: your email address, password (stored encrypted), name and phone number.

Business records you or your team enter: products, prices, stock, shops and their contact details, orders, payments and mobile-money transaction codes, cash handovers, riders, farmers, purchases and payouts, serial/IMEI numbers and batch numbers.

Location: only from a rider who has accepted a delivery and taps "Share my location", only while that job is open. It is deleted when the job ends.

Camera: used only on your phone to read barcodes and serial numbers. We do not store photos or video.

Technical data: device and browser type and error logs, to keep the app working and secure.

Why we use it

To run the app for your business: orders, stock, credit, payments, deliveries and reports.

To protect against theft and fraud: activity log, owner approval of new staff, payment-code checks and alerts.

To fill in product names from a barcode, we share only the barcode number with other Lynqaro businesses' product names and with the free Open Food Facts / Open Products Facts databases. Prices, stock and customers are never shared between businesses.

Farm-gate price averages shown publicly are combined from several buyers and never show a business, farmer or person.

We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

Who can see your data

Inside a business: the owner and managers see the business's data; sales reps see their own orders and cash. People only get access after the owner approves them.

Riders and farmers see only their own job or statement through a private link.

Service providers that host the app and database (Lovable Cloud / Supabase) process data for us under their security terms. Data may be stored on secure servers outside your country.

Authorities, only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep business records while the business uses Lynqaro, because businesses need them for tax and credit. Rider locations are deleted when the delivery ends. When an account or business is deleted, its data is removed and backups are erased within 30 days.

Your rights

You can see and correct your name and phone in More, export your business data (More → Export), and delete your account at any time (More → Delete my account, or the "Delete my account" page).

You can ask us what data we hold about you or to correct or delete it by emailing support@lynqaro.com. We follow the data protection laws of the countries we serve, such as Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019, Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act 2022, Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and Rwanda's 2021 law.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Each business can only read its own data. Passwords are never stored in plain text. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at support@lynqaro.com if you notice a problem.

Children

Lynqaro Business is for people working in a business and is not meant for children under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
